Many parishioners of Saint Kathryn's assist the Hudson Community Food Pantry, which serves the people of Hudson, NH. The pantry is a volunteer organization located in the building to the right of Saint John the Evangelist Church, 25 Library Street, Hudson, NH 03051. The pantry's main distributions are twice a month when it provides supplemental food and supplies to families in need. The pantry sometimes helps to pay a limited amount on medical or utility bills. It also offers flu shots; provides food backpacks to chlidren for weekends through the Feed Our Kids program; supplies hats, gloves, and mittens; and has special distributions for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter.
Saint Kathryn's has a brown bag food drive twice a year to benefit the pantry, co-sponsors the Be a Star Program for Christmas, and our Holy Thursday collection provides financial assistance to the Feed Our Kids program. Some parishioners also help with the pantry on twice monthly distribution days, which are on Thursdays and Saturdays.
